Project Heart for upper elementary helps students look beyond themselves and discover how they can give back. Through hands-on lessons, they learn what it means to be a philanthropist and make a difference.
How does Project Heart work?
Project Heart is a free resource that empowers teachers to spark a spirit of giving and generosity in the classroom. With engaging lessons and activities, Project Heart helps prepare students to recognize need in the world around them and look inward to find a way to help.
The integration of ANY of our Project Heart resources in your classroom opens up the opportunity for your students to apply for our Illumination Fund grant, requesting financial assistance for materials needed for a service project, matching funds for a fundraiser, or even field trip reimbursement to visit a nonprofit they are interested in learning more about.
How do I use Project Heart?

Our new and improved upper elementary Project Heart program provides you with five flexible lessons, three ready-to-go service kits, a children's book showcasing 15 stories of kids making a difference, and so much more. Whether you're new to philanthropy education or looking for a way to deepen your students' understanding of giving, our upper elementary program is a perfect fit to help you along your journey.
What can I expect?
