30 Days of Philanthropy - A Month of Unexpected Impact

July 14, 2023

What can you accomplish in a single month? Can you read an entire book? Learn how to bake or cook a meal?

What if we told you that you could use an entire month to teach students of all ages how to be philanthropists? Teaching kids philanthropy can seem daunting - and as an educator, you have a lot on your plate that needs to be taught! That is why we created Project Heart, our philanthropy education framework that provides educators with tools and resources to start students on the journey of becoming lifelong philanthropists.

One of those resources is our 30 Days of Philanthropy, a month-long experience that offers ideas for daily activities that provide students with easy to do philanthropic projects.

The 30 Days of Philanthropy activity is designed to help start the conversation around giving back while providing opportunities for students to engage in activities that reinforce what philanthropy can look like in action. With easy to engage ideas, students and educators can ease into the topic of philanthropy through doing small acts of kindness for others around them.

The calendar also encourages conversation and reflection on philanthropy, helping you and your students connect over the impact you can collectively create simply by helping and giving back to others.

Teaching kids about philanthropy and how to give back may seem overwhelming, but with Project Heart, and resources like the 30 Days of Philanthropy, starting the journey can be simple. The best part? Watching your students light up when the learn that, no matter their age, background or ability, they have the power to make a difference in the world around them.
