Today, there are more than 1.3 billion people around the world without access to reliable electricity because of the infrastructure, high cost, or insufficient housing. Light poverty, or a lack of access to light, especially after dark, can have many social and economic consequences.
Highlighting a group called Engineering Brightness, this Project Heart Beat helps students better understand what light poverty is and how they can use their time, talent and treasure to help.
