Gobbles of Giving

Giving back is an important activity that helps others and makes us feel great! We all have 3Ts - time, talent and treasure - that we can use to make a difference in our communities and the world. Gratitude and generosity are two sides of the same coin — and Gobbles of Giving makes that connection joyful, festive, and deeply meaningful.

Students reflect on the things they're most thankful for, then brainstorm tangible ways to share their abundance with neighbors who are facing food insecurity, loneliness, or need during the Thanksgiving season.

With a turkey-themed design that younger students love and warm, open-ended prompts that engage every age, this activity is a favorite for Thanksgiving units and community-focused classroom cultures. Send it home as a family activity, or use it as the springboard for a classroom food drive. Gratitude was always meant to be given away.
