Mission: The mission of Mulberry Community Gardens is to educate and engage the community through hands-on organic gardening opportunities for youth and adults; to provide an inclusive and community-centered environment to share information, materials, plants and technical assistance; and to practice and promote a “Reduce, Reuse, Recycle” philosophy to carry out all of our objectives.
Philosophy: Mulberry Community Gardens is a communal gardening spot and neighborhood area where all are encouraged to participate in growing food, helping neighbors, and inspiring other to become more involved with their natural surroundings. Mulberry Community Gardens is located on a one acre plot with two gardens, native food plants, a neighborhood compost drop off and pick up site, goats, chickens, and children play area.
Mulberry Community Gardens works in collaborations with other non-profits to address local food security and environmental issues; local businesses that support our mission and provide us with donations such as fruit trees and compost, and the Poudre School District, which enables us to reach younger community members and provide educational enrichment programs. It is with the support that Mulberry Community Gardens is able to be viable and provide the best services to our community.
