Project Highlights

  • Middle School
    • 7th grade students focused their service on water pollution and planned a local river cleaning day.
    • 7th grade students were inspired to make change after they read an article about the inequity of green spaces in of lower socio-economic neighborhoods, so they held a raffle with donations from local businesses to raise money for the upkeep local parks through their local Parks & Rec Department.
      • Want to see more? Jake Franklin used Project Heart to inspire his middle school Innovation classes to give back and meet needs connected to their personal passions. Student Impact Projects ranged from bike repairs and river cleanups to toy drives and gaming tournaments.     • 6-8th grade students participated in a middle school day of service, where they sent students to a number of local organizations (some include: Loveland House of Neighborly Services, FOCO Café, Hearts & Horses, local nursing homes, etc. Some of the services offered included deep cleaning, musical performances, transplanting native plants, painting, etc.

  • High School
    • 11th grade students made garden goodie bags for school district families to promote sustainable and healthy lifestyles.
    • 12th grade students planted native plants in decorated pots to give away to the community to raise awareness about the importance of native trees and native plants in Northern Colorado.
