A Million Thanks® is a nationwide nonprofit dedicated to showing appreciation for our active duty, reserve, and veteran military members through heartfelt letter writing. Founded in 2004 by then 15-year-old Shauna Fleming, the organization began with a simple goal: collect one million letters of thanks for U.S. service members. That goal was reached in just six months—and the mission has only grown.
